License
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Ship Kit is sold under one of two licenses. This page is the plain-language summary; it sits alongside the Terms of Service, and the full license text is included in the repository you receive with your purchase.
Solo
$179 one-timeA founder or developer shipping one product they own.
You can
- Use the Kit to build one product (a SaaS, app, or site) that you own.
- Modify the source however you like and ship it in production.
- Lifetime access to the private repository and the updates we publish.
You can't
- Use it across multiple unrelated products or for client work — that's the Agency license.
- Resell or redistribute the Kit's source as a competing kit or template.
- Share repository access outside your team for that one product.
Agency
$499 one-timeAn agency or freelancer building for multiple clients.
You can
- Use the Kit as your standard starting point on unlimited client projects.
- Deliver the resulting applications to your clients.
- Modify the source freely; lifetime access and updates included.
You can't
- Resell or redistribute the Kit itself (as opposed to a finished client app) as a product or template.
- Sublicense the raw Kit to clients so they can reuse it as a starter on their own further projects.
What both licenses include
Either way you get the complete source in a private repository, with lifetime access and free updates while the Kit is maintained. You own everything you build with it. The one thing neither license permits is reselling the Kit itself as a competing starter — your applications are yours; the Kit stays ours.
Built on Better Auth
The Kit is built on the open-source Better Auth library, which carries its own (separate) open-source license. Ship Kit is an independent, unofficial product and is not affiliated with Better Auth. Nothing here grants you rights to the Better Auth project beyond its own license.
