Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These terms govern your purchase and use of Ship Kit(the “Kit”), a source-code product sold at betterauth.app. By purchasing or using the Kit, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our License, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of this agreement.
1. Who we are
Ship Kit is an independent, unofficial product. It is notaffiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Better Auth or its maintainers. The Kit is built on top of the open-source Better Auth library, which is governed by its own license. References to “Better Auth” are nominative only.
2. What you are buying
The Kit is a starter codebase: source files delivered through access to a private code repository, together with documentation. It is sold as a one-time purchase with lifetime access to the repository and updates we publish to it. It is not a subscription and not a hosted service — you run it on your own infrastructure.
Two licenses are offered, summarized on the License page: a Solo license ($179) for one product you own, and an Agency license ($499) for unlimited client projects. Your purchase is the license that applies to you.
3. Payments, taxes and the seller of record
Checkout is processed by our merchant of record (MoR), who is the seller of record for your transaction. The MoR collects payment, handles applicable sales tax / VAT, and issues your invoice. Card payments and crypto payments are each handled by the respective provider; we do not store your card or wallet details.
Prices are shown in USD and are exclusive of taxes the MoR may add at checkout based on your location.
4. Delivery
After a successful payment, access is provisioned automatically: a license record is created and you are invited to the private repository at the email address you used at checkout. If access does not arrive, contact us and we will resolve it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, or republish the Kit's source code as a competing product or template, whether modified or not.
- Share your repository access or license with anyone outside the scope of your license.
- Represent the Kit, or anything built from it, as an official Better Auth product.
- Use the Kit for anything unlawful.
Building and shipping your own applications with the Kit — including client work under an Agency license — is exactly what it is for and is fully permitted.
6. Refunds
A 14-day money-back guarantee applies, as set out in the Refund Policy. On a refund, your license terminates and repository access is revoked.
7. Updates and support
Your purchase includes updates we publish to the repository while it is maintained. We do not promise a specific update cadence or that any particular feature will be added. Support is provided on a best-effort basis through the channels described at purchase (currently GitHub Discussions).
8. Warranty disclaimer
The Kit is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, securing, and operating any application you build with it. The Kit is a starting point, not a guarantee of security or compliance for your specific use.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Kit is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Kit.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes apply going forward and do not retroactively change the license you already purchased.
